UNTHA Recycling Technology

The URT system is an effective, high volume solution for advanced, environmentally sound management of rigid polyurethane foam insulation in appliances.  The performance of the URT foam insulation shredding and gas-recovery system technology has been thoroughly tested. AAP’s URT system recovers approximately 95% of the insulating foam in refrigerators and freezers.  95% of the blowing agents in the foam are recovered.3
